"Nice location to sit and enjoy a meal. They were pretty busy and appeared to be understaffed but that’s expected the way the world is today. The food was great. First time trying escargot and the flavor was really good. I bet it’s great on a nice spring day."

"Le Relais de la Butte is a classic Montmartre bistro built around a straightforward chalkboard menu and fixed-price structure. Simple but good bistro cooking: entrée, plat, dessert. Visited as two on a late April evening years ago. Crowded and lively, tight with noise and movement. Walked in off the street and seated quickly in a window corner. The faded red frontage and handwritten board set the tone before sitting down. It matched the food. Traditional. Generous. Well delivered from memory. A busy spot that delivered what the menu promised. (Visited April 2006)"

"The atmosphere at this restaurant is fantastic. Inside, the decor has some charming old electronics on display, and the patio has a very cool vibe to it with a pleasant view and often musicians playing in the plaza. The food was delicious, and we were delighted with how nice the servers all were."

"Lovely spot in Paris for real Parisian experience. Beautiful food , great staff and lovely views! We sat outside and absolutely enjoyed people watching and our amazing French food. It was cooked to perfection, portions were generous and staff were wonderful. Merci x"

"I have been walking by this place for years and meaning to try it, it's a gorgeous terrace that's rather unique sitting on a hill! I don't understand why there are so many bad reviews, and I'm glad I gave it a shot because the staff was absolutely lovely. I didn't eat though, and there's maybe an element of tourists not knowing you have to be more assertive with French service anywhere you go. Speaking from my experience, I had a very warm interactions with all 3 team members and even learned their names. I live in the neighborhood and felt the drinks were reasonably priced too, so I'm definitely coming back!"

"It was very nice experience. My friend and I were in the neighbourhood, and we ended up at this restaurant. The atmosphere is amazing as the place is located near a charming square. From the restaurant you can see (even that a bit far) the lights of the city. Their staff are nice and friendly, and you can have a bottle of wine with fancy cheeses for a decent price."
